Given the rate at which the Ignoramus in Chief has been violating the Constitution, it would be useful for someone to track these offenses.  So far these examples have been noted:

* his conflicts of interest
* the Muslim ban
* the attack on sanctuary cities that don't persecute undocumented immigrants
* the rise of the police state

The ACLU has some cogent remarks on the Twat's generally unconstitutional bent.  Furthermore, since filing a lawsuit against the Muslim ban, the ACLU received over $24 million in online donations.  That is six times their annual rate  for a typical year.  So another thing someone could track would be unexpected benefits from the Turdmeister's rise.

This poem came out of the January 24, 2017 Poetry Fishbowl. It was inspired by prompts from [personal profile] ng_moonmoth and [personal profile] redsixwing.  It has been sponsored by [personal profile] ng_moonmoth.

Note: This poem uses lascivious metaphors in several places. No likie, no readie.

I made two line bingos and some additional fills, for a total of 18, in my 1-1-17 card for the Dark Fantasy Bingo fest.  \o/

This is an advance announcement for the Tuesday, February 7, 2017 Poetry Fishbowl. This time the theme will be "nonsexual intimacies." I'll be soliciting ideas for friends, touch buddies, counselors, bodyworkers, troubled relationships, zucchini, parents and children, siblings, work partners, touching, sleeping together (without sex), cuddling, expecting the unexpected, caregiving, dancing, feeding each other, eye gazing, spotting patterns, learning about each other, bedrooms, lairs, liminal zones, massage parlors, cuddle parties, counseling offices, support groups, quiet rooms, other private places, skin hunger, headwork, bodywork, body maps, unusual vulnerabilities, The Cuddle Sutra, power exchange, aftercare, levels of intimacy in communication, radical transformation, openness, and poetic forms in particular.

I also wrote a whole series of posts about nonsexual intimacies, divided into sections.  Everything there is fair game here.

I have a linkback poem, "Spontaenous Vacations" (10 verses, Schrodinger's Heroes).

If you're interested, mark the date on your calendar, and please hold actual prompts until the "Poetry Fishbowl Open" post next week.  (If you're not available that day, or you live in a time zone that makes it hard to reach me, you can leave advance prompts.  I am now.)  Meanwhile, if you want to help with promotion, please feel free to link back here or repost this on your blog.

The following poems from the January 3, 2017 Poetry Fishbowl are currently available. Poems may be sponsored via PayPal -- there's a permanent donation button on my LiveJournal profile page -- or you can write to me and discuss other methods.

There are still verses left in the linkback poems "Testing the Metal," "Dangerous Refuges," "The Marble and the Sculptor," "Picking Up the Litter," and "The Golden Peaches of Peace."  Linking to this page will reveal new verses in whichever poem you request.

"Fears You Never Knew Existed"
Your prompt about tracking inspired the free-verse poem "Fears You Didn't Know Existed." A disappearing toddler warrants a call to SPOON.
96 lines, Buy It Now = $48

"The Form of Every Virtue"
Continuing the second prompt is "The Form of Every Virtue."  Turq accompanies Ansel to the police station to help plan the raid on Mr. Dipper.
462 lines, Buy It Now = $231

"Hacking Out the Answers"
This inspired the free-verse poem "Hacking Out the Answers."  When a virus shuts down the ciphernet, Armelle has a meltdown.  Shuttlecock knows how to handle meltdowns.
101 lines, Buy It Now = $51

"How to Get It Out"
From a DW prompt I wrote "How to Get It Out."  Shiv quietly freaks when invited to jam with a band, even though it's after hours.
252 lines, Buy It Now = $126

"A Realm of One's Being"
A DW prompt inspired the free-verse poem "A Realm of One's Being."  After Nathaniel turns three, Hannah takes him to a sensory therapist.
457 lines, Buy It Now = $229

A Dreamwidth prompt combined with some prompts from my partner Doug about a long-ago magic show he did.  "Spooked" is about a stage magician who gains real powers, but they don't work right, but that's okay.
111 lines, Buy It Now = $56

These two make a diptych:
"Insha'Allah" features Buraq receiving a mission from Allah to deliver a miracle to Haboob.
249 lines, Buy It Now = $125

"Uncertain Miracles" follows Buraq and his companions as they track down Haboob and deliver the miracle.
595 lines, Buy It Now = $298

This month's theme was "a glitch in the matrix." I worked from 1 PM to 6:30 AM, so about 15 hours 30 minutes, allowing for lunch and supper breaks. I wrote 8 poems on Tuesday and another 12 later on.

Participation was enthusiastic; 27 people sent prompts. There were 47 comments on LJ and another 64 on DW. No new prompters, though.

Buy some poetry!
If you plan to sponsor some poetry but haven't made up your mind yet, see the unsold poetry list for January 3, 2017. That includes the title, length, price, and the original thumbnail description for the poems still available.

Currently sponsored poems from this session have all been posted.  There were 3 donors this time: [personal profile] janetmiles,  Anthony & Shirley Barrette. There were no new donors.

The Poetry Fishbowl made its $200 goal, so "Between Carefree and Careless" is the free epic.  We also made the $250 goal, so that's one tally toward a bonus session.
