Here's a gorgeous rendition of "The Song of Durin" by J.R.R. Tolkien.  It's a beautiful description of a young world full of hope ... from the perspective of an old world full of trouble.  But there's a lovely bit of Dwarven spirituality about reincarnation in there.

If you appreciate my poetry, well, it's because I grew up reading stuff like this.

Niiiiice. Love the bass lead, and the variation of voices. Wish there was a bit more chorus, but the last verse... very nice. Ty.

We do, and so did we, though it wasn't until high school that we really started reading J.R.R. Tolkein. Then we blazed through the books like we wee running a marathon, and wondered why we were tired as shit in the following days. LOL

Wow! I love all of Tolkien's songs; this is one of my favorites. I think I have a bit of dwarf in my ancestry.

I don't think I've heard this one set to music before; it really captures the mood and spirit of it.

This is the first song I've found here that's reached me, emotionally. It's beautiful. Thank you for sharing.
